After some time apart, Leeds clubbing juggernaughts Back to Basics and Mint are set to join forces again next month to bring none other than a Dirtybird Records showcase to Mint Warehouse.
In case some of our readers aren't aware, way back when in the late 90s and early naughties Back to Basics had it's home at Mint Club with the likes of Derrick Carter, Sasha, Doc Martin, Danny Rampling, Louie Vega and DJ Sneak taking the decks over the years. August 2000 even saw a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix from David Morales broadcast live, when Mint and Basics hosted the Leeds Love Parade after party. Since the two split however, connections have been somewhat limited and this will be the first time they join forces since Basics held it's residency at the club.
Friday 27th September sees the two brands team up once again, this time at the relatively newly opened Mint Warehouse with a firm Basics favourite in Claude Von Stroke. A regular booking for Basics, this time round Claude will be bringing along a full label showcase from his much loved Dirtybird imprint with Justin Martin, Catz N Dogz and Kill Frenzy all in towe.
If you've never experienced a Dirtybird party, make sure you check out the video below for a little taster of when Claude, Justin Martin, Catz N Dogz and Kill Frenzy got together at Sankeys Ibiza last month.
