Being welcomed back to Leeds, like a scone welcomes a big dollop of ice cream is the incredibly tasty Butter Side Up and their Season Opening Party. Being held at Wire Club on Friday 13th September, the party kicks off with a very important Wolverhampton reared guest, Mark E.
Having been in the industry for over 20 years, the Merc boss' presence is warm and unassuming, never too showy. Every record is well worked, whether it be a remix or his own production and he has continually cemented himself as one of the most consistent and sought after UK producers of recent times. His smooth, refined and inquisitive style makes him glisten like a ‘Valrhona Chardon Poire’ amongst a box of unwanted ‘Green Triangles’ left over from Christmas.
With releases stacking up on a number of labels including, Jazzanova’s Sonar Kollektiv, Gerd Janson’s Running Back and Prins Thomas’ Internasjonal as well as his own MERC franchise, he’s become a reputable source, and a favoured remixer.
This year has already seen Mark play events in America, Australia, Germany, France and Croatia and now he’s stopping in to the northern city of Leeds for a lovely three hour session.
With support coming from Leeds based DJ and producer Thomas TMS and The Butter Side Up residents, it’s going to be one heavenly night of sweet sounds, lucrative bass and eloquent talent. Butter Me Up!
