Friday 14th February sees Butter Side Up continue with their current booking trend, bringing another master selector in Craig Richards to their Wire basement in Leeds (again for a three hour extended set).
Over the years, Craig Richards has proved himself as one of the finest DJs the UK has to offer. Having been present at the birth of arguably the country's most successful club Fabric, Craig was given the honour of resident DJ and musical curator. Since the club's inception in 1999, Craig has been warming up and playing alongside near enough every single act in underground house and techno worth their salt, forging lasting relationships between the venue and it's guests – most notably, the iconic Ricardo Villalobos.
It goes without saying that Craig's Fabric residency has allowed him to hone and mould his DJ skills, whilst becoming one of the most loved and respected DJs on the circuit. His ability to play the right records at the right time is second to none. The man ooze's class, whether he's selecting records, painting, curating lineups, producing, remixing or running his label (The Nothing Special), he has it all. Check out one of our favourites off his The Nothing Special imprint below, Sleeping Rough, released last year - along with a stellar recent mix recorded live at Japan's Dommune just last December.
Support on the night comes from System resident and Strobewax boss, Bobby O'Donnell.
Butter Side Up Valentines Party with Craig Richards tickets are on sale now. Early bird tickets sold out in a matter of days, grab a general release ticket now whilst they last.
