By The Rivers UK tour dates on sale now

Leicester’s groove infected six-piece band By The Rivers has been an unstoppable force since they launched their project back in 2010. As and a group who bend the borders of many genres and cannot be easily categorised, they are creators of genuine music that has been pricking up ears all over the country.

Until recently, By The Rivers was one of the key groups of artists to be picked up by BBC Introducing, who attracted lots of attention this year at festivals all over the country. At Glastonbury 2013, after an encapsulating performance on the BBC stage, the organisers together with other tastemakers were so impressed that the insisted By The Rivers returns in 2014 to play on the Pyramid Stage.





With their musical confidence now at an all time high Nile Barrow, Sam Reid, Jordan Birtles, Will Todd, Rob Spalton and Matt Willars are now embarking on their UK tour that will be the proverbial cherry on top of the cake during a year that has raised By The Rivers to reach their greatest heights yet.

The band’s individual influences range from British indie rock to afrobeat and reggae, with these myriad influences being audible in the majority of their productions. With heartfelt sentiments crossing infectious rhythm and incredibly detailed sections that are bordered with lo-fi glitch, they become they’re own sound, lyrically lead by current affairs, personal experiences and worldwide issues.

Their tour that is taking place throughout the winter months is a great chance to see and hear their music that was born for live performance. Despite their innate studio skill, they do not falter when provoking crowds to become sweaty, seething masses. With their debut album having been given critical acclaim, the time has never been better to see these guys in the skin.
