Calling Festival have announced the second wave of guests who will be taking to the second stage on the 4th of July at Clapham Common, with Sunset Sons, Bleachers, James Veck Gilodi and more set to appear.
After the initial announcement that unveiled Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds as the 2015 festival headliners, there was a huge amount of excitement in the air, with anticipation raising once Ryan Adams, Modest Mouse, The Hives, Echo & The Bunnymen and Wolf Alice were also added to the line up.
Now, the bill has been extended as 7 more bands have joined the line up, topped by Sunset Sons, the French touring quartet that has been nominated for the BBC Music Sound Of 2015 Award. The band began covering everything from D12 to Coldplay and began writing their own material to be signed to Polydor last year. Also appearing is Bleachers, the New York based indie pop group formed by Jack Antonoff of the band Fun. The band has had chart success in the US and comes over to the UK this summer to play at Calling Festival as well as in Manchester and Glasgow.
Deaf Havana’s frontman James Veck-Gilodi is next on the announcement, which announced a number of solo dates to take place in January, however since completing the 10-date tour this appearance appears to be his only festival gig this summer. The London based band Osca follow before the line up is completed by Sundara Karma, VANT and White Room, completing the line up for the second stage at Calling Festival 2015.
