Leeds based party Just A Little will be setting up shop at Canal Mills on Friday 2nd October to celebrate the golden era of NYC disco.
Beginning as a small student party, Just A Little have grown to being one of the most popular places to catch anything funky, soulful and disco tinged as they have welcomed guests from all over the world of the ilk of Hot Chip, DJ Yoda, Daniele Baldelli, Quantic, Nightmares On Wax, Rayko and Ron Basejam.
More recently Just A Little have also thrown extra special parties celebrating Acid House and Balearic sounds with guests such as DJ Pierre, Marshall Jefferson and A Guy Called Gerald, with all these parties taking place at a nice variety of venues. Wire, Canal Mills and HiFi have entertained Leeds’ Just A Little fans, whilst London’s Oval Space, Unknown Festival and Hackney’s Cre8 Lifestyle Centre have seen the brand take their talent for throwing great parties around the UK and Europe.
This next party sees a return to Canal Mills and deadly disco beats as the one and only Dimitri From Paris flies in to show us what he does best. Having mixed one of the most seminal disco compilations of modern time A Night At The Playboy Mansion, he is a king of slow, sleazy, yet feel good sounds that will provoke sing a longs and seriously big smiles. Horse Meat Disco will also be joining them as well as Payfone, who’s unique disco edits are said to be inspired by his collection of telephones. Interesting to say the least.
Local Leeds DJs Hamish Cole, John Stuckey and Elwood will also be playing alongside the guests, with a second room hosted by Milkman Delivers.
