Metropolis have been at the forefront of Leeds’ bass music since the brands inception 6 years ago. After a lengthy absence, Canal Mills will be opening it's doors this September (26th), welcoming Metropolis to do the honours of hosting the night.
Headlining the bill is young house star from Liverpool Friend Within. Since departing from his electro moniker, Lee Mortimer has been singed to some of the most esteemed labels in the business including Dirtybird, Hypercolour and Pets Recordings. Still with a fuzzy edge to many of his tracks, Friend Within has been seen following the likes of Derrick Carter and Dusky, however here he champions a headline slot.
Friend Within will be joined by Radio 1 DJ Monki, whose BBC Radio 1Xtra show on Monday nights has strived to showcase the biggest upcoming names all over the dance scene. GotSome are next up omn the bill making their return to Canal Mills, with Jax Jones, a mainstay in the Duke Dumont’s Blasé Boys Club finishing off the lineup alongside regulars Mak & Pasteman and Sheffield’s Mella Dee.
