Renowned for being one of the most exciting dance music festivals in the UK and most certainly the capital, South West Four will be returning on August Bank Holiday Weekend to host their two day marathon of dance music from all over the spectrum.
Two new additions have just been announced, those being British DJ veteran Carl Cox and the king of drum & bass, Andy C. Carl Cox has long been revered for his three deck mixing and for being the undisputable king of Ibiza amongst British DJs. This year marks his final ever season at Space Ibiza, with there even being talk of him stepping back from DJing after a healthy career spanning over 30 years. If there’s ever a time to see Carl play, it’s now, as he’s is a DJ who never disappoints when providing bouncy house and techno to fill a floor.
Andy C is the undisputed king of drum & bass and is regularly seen playing all night long in the capital as well all over the country. Andy is one of the few DJs who still play on all vinyl and is synonymous with his double drop technique, which never fails to make dance floors erupt. Being a favourite of all the D&B heads who travel to Clapham Common for SW4 every year, it wouldn’t be the same without him.
As well as these two heavyweight performances, there will also be appearances from a long line of artists who have already been announced. These include The Chemical Brothers, Above & Beyond, Rudimental, Dizzee Rascal, Knife Party, Booka Shake, Blonde, Cirez D, Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, Boys Noize, Four Tet DJ EZ, Gorgon City, MK, Nero, Netsky, Redlight, Joseph Capriati, Sasha and Sven Väth.
