Circular is a brand that has been growing in maturity since their first events at Mint Warehouse back in January and May, when the likes of Dusky, Will Saul, Ben Pearce and Hot Since 82 would rock the main room from beginning to end, with the whole club packed out without fail.
Circular Launch - Mint Warehouse - Ben Pearce - 24th January 2014
Most recently, Circular travelled over to Mint Festival in Lincolnshire where their arena showcased favourite artists such as Skream and Paul Woolford, again to the delights of the thousands that took the showground in September. From there we have now arrived back in Leeds and now the dust has settled it’s time for Circular to come back, this time at Mint Club, the more intimate and cosy venue, sister to that of the larger space the first two parties were held at.
For this instalment, Circular will be welcoming one of the hottest labels of the moment, an imprint whose releases are proving to be hits amongst DJs all over the globe. We are of course talking about Moda Black. Started by Jaymo & Andy George, Moda Black has released music from the likes of Sidney Charles, Ejeca, Lee Curtiss and Sabb, regularly travelling all over the country to showcase their roster of artists to the masses. A number of Moda Black showcases have already been seen in Leeds, however this is the first at Mint Club, which will escalate the vibe to a ridiculous height.
Headlining proceedings is Leeds favourite Darius Syrossian, who first appeared on the Moda imprint with his single ‘Velvette’. Having lived in the city for a number of years, he is accustomed to the high energy and high standards the Leeds crowd have, and is no amateur when it comes to tearing up a dance floor. Having heard ‘Stay Up Dancing, Get In Monday’, ‘Who’s The Douche?’ and a number of his other tracks blaze out of Mint Club’s Funktion One system on multiple occasions, it's safe to say he will impress.
Joining Darius will be label founders Jaymo & Andy George, who for their young age have managed to build a great label and cultivated a good crowd at their events back home in Lincoln. Residents FiNN and Johnny Rhodes will also be on hand as always, rounded off by Circular’s new resident Farrow who has been turning heads fast through his releases on well to do labels such as Tigermilk and Leeds’ own Love Not Money.
