Liverpool institution Circus and Manchester club night Kaluki are two of the most recognised brands in the UK clubbing scene and on Saturday May the 16th they will join forces to bring Marco Carola, Yousef and more to The Albert Hall in Manchester.
Circus has long been a pioneering brand in the Liverpool club scene, having been throwing parties at the recently refurbished Arts Club and other Liverpool venues such as The Shipping Forecast and Camp & Furnace for a long while. Their list of guests is a who’s who on dance music and the spearhead behind the imprint itself is none other than Yousef, a hugely respected DJ in his own right. In the same way, Kaluki have been doing much of the same a little further inland all over Manchester, hosting nights and stages at high profile events like The Warehouse Project and Parklife festival to name but a few.
As always Yousef will be featuring for this Circus meets Kaluki special, however The Albert Hall will also be welcoming the head honcho of one of Ibiza’s most respected parties, Music On. Of course, we are talking about Marco Carola and his reputation precedes him, as he has been an icon in the Italian dance music scene for decades. Distinguished by his bouncy, crowd pleasing house and techno, Carola has gained huge momentum with his weekly parties on Friday at Amnesia in Ibiza, also regularly playing at more of the islands top party choices including Cocoon, Paradise and Music Is Revolution.
Joining the two headliners will be the Canadian bass deviant Nathan Barato, who has had a string of well received summer smashers for the past few years, with last years ‘Hard Werq’ appearing in the sets of Luciano and Andrea Oliva amongst many others. Finally there will also be appearances from Kaluki regulars Pirate Copy and Pete Zorba.
