As we look forward to the sun filled summer months, System and Mint Club bring you news of Cocoon In The Park 2015. As the brands flagship event and one of Leeds’ staple clubbing events in the year, Cocoon In The Park annually welcomes a small selection of world class DJs to play on the single stage, creating one of the most unique dance music events the UK has to offer.
Cocoon In The Park 2015
Saturday 11th July
Temple Newsam, Leeds
Enzo Siragusa b2b Seb Zito
On the second Saturday of July (11th) there will be six DJs descending on Temple Newsam on the outskirts of Leeds’ city centre, marking the largest ever line up. As always the march will be led by Cocoon’s boss Sven Väth, whose yearly appearance at the one day festival is welcomed by techno fans up and down the country, who flock from afar for this special day and night out. As Sven usually closes the day, the remaining five will be on warm up duties, however the field can be guaranteed to be rumbling with a four by four kick drum from 11am, with an intense atmosphere mounting from earlier hours. Again, Enzo Siragusa will be opening, however this year things have been given a needed extra spice as Seb Zito joins him in a back-to-back performance.
After a hugely impressive performance last year, which escalated from the most minimalistic repetitive sound he could fathom to intensified house and techno, dotted with tricks and twists, Ricardo Villalobos will also return after appearing as last years special guest. As ever a favourite at CITP, he will surely bring the noise once again. We also have news of a special guest joining the line up, which will give us even more to look forward to, as this name will likely be announced in the weeks before the festival.
The final addition to the Cocoon In The Park line up for 2015 will likely be the highlight for the many fans that herald Cocoon as their favourite day of the year. Freshly returning to Leeds for the first time in many years is Carl Cox. Oh yes, oh yes! The man whose Tuesday residency at Space Ibiza was said to be an island highlight of last year completes the line up and will be exciting many to their bones.
