Kasra Mowlavi’s Critical Music will be celebrating 15 years in the business in March, and to make it a proper occasion they’ve decided to throw their biggest ever London party at Electric Brixton on Friday 3rd March. Though details are still being held under wraps, the quality of the label’s previous Underground Sonics LPs should leave no room for doubt as to whether the artists on show will be cut from a fine cloth.
Critical Recordings and Critical Music have become synonymous with drum and bass of the highest order, with consistently strong releases from an impressive rota that includes Dub Phizix, Ivy Lab and plenty more. Run by one of the genre’s pioneers in Kasra, Critical Sound has been operating as a label and a party since 2002, and has been increasing in stature the whole time. A regular fixture at drum and bass festivals and working closely with institutions like Hospitality, Critical Sound is now considered a stamp of high quality DnB. Tickets are on sale now.
