As Crosstown Rebels enters it’s tenth year, they mark the occasion by embarking on a huge world tour, taking in five continents and 28 countries.
We are are now happy to announce that the Rebel Rave World Tour 2013 will stop off at Leeds’ very own Canal Mills, on Saturday 26th April.
Founded right back in 2003 by Damian Lazarus, Crosstown Rebels has had anything but a smooth ride to the dizzying success it has managed to achieve. In 2003, when Crosstowen Rebels had just shipped a 12” from Supreme Bachelors the label’s distributor, Ideal, unfortunately went into liquidation. This was a big hit for the emerging label as it was owed a few thousand pounds for the first releases. 2006 and 2007, saw a further two distributor folds from Intergroove UK and Amato respectively. Following these second two liquidations, Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels were owed around £30,000 and it took a huge amount of self believe and courage for Damian to continue, and amazingly turn the label into the underground super power it is today.
With an incredible roaster of DJs including Jamie Jones, Deniz Kurtel, Maceo Plex, Fur Coat, Amirali and many more, Crosstown Rebels’ infamous parties are some of the most loved the whole world over. As a label, Crosstown Rebels have been responsible for some of the biggest releases of the past few years from the likes of Maceo Plex, Art Department, Jamie Jones, Dinky, Infinity Ink, James What and more - check out a few choice selections below to get you warmed up nicely.
Set to appear at this April’s Rebel Rave at Canal Mills, will be head honcho Damian Lazarus, alongside Canadian duo, Art Department, the newest lady of Crosstown Rebels, Francesca Lombardo and Jozif.
As expected tickets for this event are already flying out. Early birds sold out on the day of release and 1st release tickets are on sale now.
