Dan Snaith will be making another trip to London’s Victoria Park this summer, this time round appearing on the Saturday at Lovebox festival under his Daphni alter ego. The Canadian producer will be delving deep into his bag of records as he headlines the Thump stage at the festival on Saturday 16th of July.
While Snaith has carved out much of his success via his Caribou moniker, his use of other aliases to explore further realms of electronic music has proved his worth as one of the most captivating producers of the the last 10 years. Having originally crafted intricate IDM as Manitoba, Daphni’s production has been much more dance floor orientated that any of his other projects. With swirling synths and frantic rhythms, Daphni’s bi-polar production style singles itself out from regular four to the floor house and techno, often finding itself as curve ball in many DJ’s sets.
Daphni joins the likes of Major Lazer and LCD Soundsystem who are set to headline the Friday and Saturday at Lovebox. Further stages will be hosted by Elrow and Fabric with Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Jackmaster, Joris Voorn, Richy Ahmed, Zip, Craig Richards and many more set to appear.
Lovebox runs from the 15th-16th of July at Victoria Park, London with Citadel Festival taking over the site on Sunday 17th July.
