After a summer relishing what they achieved last year, Deep Fever are back with their second show of the academic season. After a storming year last year that saw the likes of Jack Wickham, Mr. Beatnick, Arnaldo, Youandewan and Trikk play throughout the year, they are ready to get things rocking again with a performance from the Bristol based Dutch native, DJ October.
With a name befitting the month he will be appearing in, the 16th of October will see the vinyl only DJ spinning his emotive house and techno that has seen him gain a residency at Tresor, not to mention regular slots at Free Rotation and Fabric. DJ October has releases on many of house music’s most popular labels including Will Saul’s Aus Music, and Swedish techno imprint Skudge. His forthcoming debut album that will be released on Skudge is named Black Body Radiation, which provides clashed techno, garage and industrial sounds together on one forward thinking LP.
Co-founder of the highly acclaimed KMAH Radio, Mike Stockell, will also be joining DJ October at Deep Fever’s second party of the season, another vinyl focused selector whose records have seen him and his fellow KMAH hosts invited to play for The Boiler Room at a recent party at Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds. Gessture_, a resident of Deep Fever, will be warming things up with his reassuringly melodic beats that round off a great line up to kick off another year of top quality events for Deep Fever.
The party will be taking place on Friday 16th October at one of Leeds’ best small clubs, Wire. Tickets on sale now.
