Since recent collaborations with Jungle Jam in Leeds Detonate are now presenting Shogun Warehouse at Mint Warehouse – for anyone who calls them self a drum and bass head this night should not be missed featuring big names from the Shogun Audio roster.
Highly regarded Brighton boy Ed Keeley aka Friction, known for his smash up with three decks has quickly built himself up in the UK drum and bass scene over the years. Releasing records on a variety of renowned labels such as Hospital and Goldie's legendary Metal-Headz, this guy knows how to do it well. With tracks such as his remix of Back To Your Roots alongside K-Tee he will be sure to get a crowd moving.
Belgian DJ/producer Alix Perez is one who avoids the perhaps aggressive nature of some drum and bass taking his influences from soul and jazz, resulting in an all more stylish feel. Also taking to the stage are the exciting DJ Rockwell, known for his originally eclectic sets as well as the darker more heavily techno influenced mastery of Icicle.
Furthermore with the likes of duos such as Spectrasoul, Jack and Dave who have a distinctly energetic and smooth-running clean sound and Total Science, John Greenhalgh and Paul Smith, down to do a jungle set, who have produced work with acclaimed DJ SPY the night promises a diverse range of styles.
