For the past 5 years Dimensions Festival has been welcoming the finest DJs to come and play in its breath-taking surroundings just along the Adriatic. 2016 will be no different as the festivals first lineup announcement features none other than UK electronic music royalty, Massive Attack.
The Bristol duo will be bringing the dub infused sound to the eye catching Pula amphitheatre for the opening concert of the weekend. Having emerged from the Bristol scene in the early 90s the pairing released the debut album Blue Lines to critical acclaim thanks to records such as the moving Unfinished Sympathy. However Massive attack solidified their godlike status following the release of the 3rd album Mezzanine. Featuring tracks such as Teardrop, Angel and Man Next Door the duo were heralded for their unmistakable sound they crafted. Fresh off the back of their Ritual Spirit EP, this will be a performance not to be missed.
Returning to the festival will be legend that is Kenny Dixon Jr, or more commonly known as Moodymann along with fellow Detrot natives Kyle Hall and Marcellus Pitmann. UK house and techno will also be well represented at this year’s festival with Hessle Audio trio Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound set to appear. Following a more than memorable performance in 2015, Motor City Drum ensemble will also be returning to provide the perfect sound track under the Croatian sun.
