This summer will see 2 of London’s biggest names in clubbing, Closer and The Hydra coming together along with sought after techno label Drumcode to bring a new festival to the capital, Junction 2.
After the initial announcement that brought the news of Drumcode’s involvement and that there would be three stages of music, we have now been treated to the announcement of the mammoth sized line up that will be taking to an as of yet undisclosed location on Saturday the 4th of June.
Kicking off a 12pm there will be 16 DJs and live artists playing across three stages hosted by each brand involved. Of course, it wouldn’t be Drumcode without a performance from the label’s spearhead Adam Beyer and there are a host of other familiar Drumcode staples such as Alan Fitzpatrick and Ida Engberg also appearing.
Innervision’s Dixon and Âme will both be appearing separately at Junction 2, as well as techno pioneer Carl Craig, who will be showcasing his live performance under the alias Modular Pursuits. Boxia, Move D, Dense & Pika, Dolan Bergin and Mano Le Tough add a touch of variety, before a further smashing of techno heavyweights in Marcel Dettman, Mr.G, Nina Kraviz, Pan-Pot and Scuba finish off the line up in style.
The location that will be hosting the first ever Junction 2 is a secret at the moment, however the organisers are promising green fields, woodland pathways, hidden enclaves and natural beauty strung together by industrialism. We can’t wait to find out more.
