Two of the most revered names in drum & bass will be coming together this April for a special appearance at Electric Brixton, London joined by a handful of toasters and MCs. For one night only DJ Marky and LTJ Bukem will be appearing on the same bill for a night which promises to provide hard hitting break beats topped off groovy basslines.
Having learnt his craft in Brazil, DJ Marky will be on hand to showcase his samba infused production and record collection which has established himself as one of the most creative and fervent producers in the drum and bass scene. DJ Marky arrived on the UK drum & bass scene in the late 90s captured the attention of D&B royalty Goldie and DJ Hype. From there his exploits in the studio and behind the decks have ensured his regarded as one of the biggest names in the game. Expect a soulful selection of breaks to be putting the sound system through its paces when DJ Marky steps up.
Also appearing will be LTJ Bukem. The London drum & bass producer and DJ has deservedly carved out the reputation of being one of the greats when it comes to creating and showcasing 160 bpm records. With a back catalogue of his own precision crafted beats along with countless remixes, LTJ has always known how to create a jazzy vibe on his records. Expect a perfect blend when the two DJs sounds rattle the structure of Electric Brixton.
Further support will be provided by Tom Central who will be on hand to provide a set of D&B classics with very special guests still be announced. The mic will be in the safe hands of MC Dynamite and Stamina over the course of the night.
