On the Friday, as with all three days at Wireless festival, there will be world class headliners playing alongside further internationally revered singers, bands and DJs, kicked off with a bang by Drake. As a rapper who has gained platinum discs for all three of his studio albums and handfuls of his singles he has fast become one of the most recognised voices in hip-hop over the past few years. Number one collaborations with Rihanna and many other respected artists have put him amongst the cream of the crop. Joining Drake will be the likes of Labrinth, the Grammy Award winning dubstep duo Nero, the number one house head Duke Dumont, Joey Bada$$, Krept & Konan, Fuse ODG, ILoveMakonnen, Little Simz, G-Eazy and OCD: Moosh & Twist.
Wireless Festival take things up an notch on Saturday as they invite not one but two massive headliners to lead the charge on the second day of the festival, these being dance giant Avicii and Kendrick Lamar. With a huge number of number one singles that have been championed in all commercial corners as well as all over the clubbing circuit, Avicii is one of the most popular names in music today, whilst Kendrick Lamar is known worldwide for his brand of human hip hop that has seen him climb the UK top 40 by the side of Imagine Dragons, Alicia Keys and A$AP Rocky, with his soundtrack utilized ‘Swimming Pools’ being one of his most popular tunes. Continuing on the line up on the Saturday are further dance music deviants in Knife Party and Gorgon City as well as more rapping delights from Childish Gambino, together with Raleigh Ritchie and Indiana and Stormzy.
The final day of Wireless Festival will not be a day for cooling down by any means as another double headliner takes the ones and a whirlwind of more dance and R&B greats grips the twos. Headlining the Sunday are David Guetta and Nicki Minaj, who will both be names the majority of music fans will know worldwide. David Guetta has spawned some of the most popular club tracks of the past 5 years, ‘Love Don’t Let Me Go’, ‘When Love Takes Over’ and ‘Titanium’ being just a selection of his back catalogue of number one singles. Nicki Minaj is one of todays leading ladies in hip-hop, as her first two albums both took platinum certifications and have seen her top the charts with many of their singles. Jessie J, Clean Bandit, August Alsina, Wretch 32, hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash, Arrested Development, Logic and George The Poet will round off the Sunday.
With many more acts to be announced on all three days across all three stages, this is by far the end, however it is likely agreed that this is looking to be one of Wireless Festival’s biggest years to date.
