World-renowned street performer Dub FX is bringing his jaw dropping live show to the UK next year. On the 2nd of May, Benjamin Stanford, better known as Dub FX will bring his multitude of instruments to The Institute in Birmingham where he will orchestrate a full live performance using only his mouth. Tickets on sale now.
Since making a name for himself in his hometown Melbourne in Australia, he has grown to become one of the most sought after street performers on the planet, and it’s no surprise when you watch and listen to what he can do.
Using a platter of effects boards, loopers and synthesisers, Dub FX starts as a beat boxer, laying down a rhythm that he then builds on with countless loops and sounds using only his voice. Vocals are a treat to listen to as well, as his impressive machines alter the pitch and sound of Benjamin’s voice to make it seem like there could be 3 singers in front of you, instead of one. Collaborations with other musicians like Sirius and his partner in musical crime Flower Fairy have resulted in 4 collections of recordings both from live performances and studio work.
Dub FX will only be playing 5 dates in the UK next year, and it is very rare he brings his show over, so we recommend getting on this, as his performances are not something you want to miss.
