Dubtek return to Leeds for a celebration of the label’s third release, with five artists lined up to perform as the UK techno label unveil DV003. Featuring a live set from InnerCystem as well as the selection talents of some of the label’s best DJs, the night will aim to set the tone for what’s to come with the September 2nd vinyl release. The night will take place in the murky depths of Wire on the 27th of August.
First on the bill, Birmingham lad Jake Conlon will bring a dose of the fast-paced techno that has seen him earn releases on Pareto Park, Decoy and TrusT. The young producer, performer and DJ has become well known in his hometown following sets at the likes of House of God, as well as Resonance, the techno night where he plies his trade as a resident. He’ll be joined by fellow Resonance residents InnerCystem, whose live sets see them combine Ableton and a Yamaha RS-7000 to create similarly relentless growlers and stompers.
Appropriately named, Siege specialises in battling industrial techno, with releases on Subsist, Labrynth and Armatura Records showing off the Manchester-based producer’s excellent output. A regular in booths across the North and Midlands, Siege is well accustomed to Leeds, particularly having been a regular at the city’s Detached night. He’ll be joined by Belfast’s Hoth System, a man with a wealth of releases across various imprints, as well as James Jamal.
