The Garden Party have already had a rather busy summer, packing out The Faversham and Canal Mills for the first two editions of their summer series featuring the like of DJ Koze, Skream, Bicep and Âme. Attention now turns to the August Bank Holiday Sunday (28th) when The Garden Party will be taking on its third event of the summer, this time returning to The Faversham for another all day affair.
Musical duties for the party will be provided by a mix of established DJs and one of the most exiting artists to spring onto the circuit over the course of the last year. Heading up the bill is the dance floor orientated duo of Dusky. The London based pairing made a name for themselves fusing murky bass laden beats with euphoric hooks and vocal samples, with their 2013 hit nobody else providing a perfect example of their signature studio touch. With their latest releases leaning a little more towards techno than previous efforts, the duo’s progression highlight why they have acquired such a status.
Entrusted with providing the heavier sounds throughout the course of the day will be Alan Fitzpatrick. The UK techno purveyor has quietly been carving out a reputation as one of the most astute selectors and producers within the genre since scooping the DJ Award for best newcomer back in 2010. Having recently had the honour of putting together the Fabric 87 mix, it is a certain that Fitzpatrick will be armed to the teeth with four-to-the-floor bangers when behind the decks. Glasgow’s latest export Dennis Sulta is also set to make an appearance fresh off the back of a highly successful year. Having turned heads with the release of It’s Only Real on fellow countryman Jackmaster’s label Numbers, Sulta is set to light up the scene if his introduction was anything to go by.
Support will be in the trusty hands of Matt Long and Grainger.
