In 2011, Aquatite House on Water Lane became the big brother venue to what has been voted in the past as the ‘Best Small Club’ in the UK. We are of course talking about one of Mint Club’s newest ventures, Mint Warehouse. Opening its doors on Friday the 27th of January when Nicholas Jaar, Dinky, Acid Pauli and Soul Keita alongside a rally of Leeds’ best residents, Mint Warehouse instantly resonated with the clubbing population of the city. Maybe it was the towering Funktion One sound system, maybe it was the 3 rooms surrounding a fully decked courtyard, and maybe it was the world-class bookings that were instantly invited to the club. Whatever it was, Mint Warehouse now stands as if it has been part of Leeds’ clubbing history for far more than 3 years.
Since the opening night, the likes of a:rpia:r, Zip, Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, Sven Väth, Dan Andrei, Inner City, Derrick Carter, Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, Frankie Knuckles, David Rodigan and even DJ Jazzy Jeff have all played throughout the club and now the in house bookers have invited some new school favourites to celebrate three years of parties. On Saturday 24thJanuary 2015, Mint Warehouse will be playing host to 3 special guests who have been invited back after their first performances at the club this year made them club favourites. As always on occasions as big as this one, there will be music across all three rooms, with a selection of established and up and coming artists playing in rooms two and three.
Your headliner for the evening, look no further than the hungry house hedonist Eats Everything. As a world renowned DJ and producer he has conquered the majority of clubs around the world, including Mint Club where he played an all night long set last December (pictured above). His chunky house has been heard on labels like Dirtybird and Pets Recordings, all being insatiably danceable and incredibly fun.
Joining Eats Everything will be Catz ‘N Dogz and Leftwing & Kody, two duos who both played great performances and Teknicolor and Circular this year. In Room 2, Set One Twenty and Friends will be hosting proceedings, with residents Layer and Kag joined by other young talent from around Leeds in Ethan Marin, Josh Plews, Aden Konrad and Piers Crozier. Finally, the Boiler Room will be bouncing as always to the sounds of Milkman Delivers, with TwoGood, Mzungu, Grayson, Jordan Day and Reuben on the ones and twos.
Mint Warehouse 3rd Birthday tickets are on sale now with Early Bird Tickets already sold out.
