The biggest funk and soul event in London will be descending upon The Electric Ballroom once again on the 20th November.
Headlining the party will be BBC Radio 6 Music’s very own Huey Morgan, the frontman of the American rock ground Fun Lobin’ Criminals. As part of the band the 47 year old is most well known for the singles Scooby Snacks and Love Unlimited. Here however, Huey will be swapping a guitar and a microphone for a set of decks as he performs a DJ set that will encompass the best in funk, soul, motown, R&B and more.
As the host of The Huey Show, which aires on Sunday mornings, Huey Morgan has won a Bronze Award at the Sony Radio Academy Awards and has help wake the nation on the final day of the week with his eclectic collection of all that you will be hearing here at The London Funk and Soul club on November 20th.
Joining Huey will be a number of supporting artists including The Brass Funkeys, a performing monkey troupe from New Orleans who have escaped the circus to bring their homeland sounds to England. Dom Servini and the Tuckshop DJs complete the line up.
