Electric Brixton will be hosting after parties for South West Four on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of August, with two successive nights of prime cuts ensuring that the post-festival hangover need not kick in until Monday morning. Featuring Eric Prydz on the Saturday and John Digweed on the Sunday, the south London nightspot will be the place to be once the final notes of each day bring SW4 to its close.
Alongside Eric Prydz’ special three hour set on the Saturday, one of techno’s most talked about DJs joins in Alan Fitzpatrick, showing off the selection talents that have made him a roaring success across the UK and Ibiza in recent months. Another British upcomer, Christoph, will also throw himself into the mix, hoping that he too can provide a perfect foil for Prydz, who also plays SW4 on the Sunday under his Cirez D alias. Prydz has been a hugely popular DJ for many years, and having been lauded for his b2b with deadmau5 at last year’s festival, so it should have been an easy choice for SW4 organisers again this year.
The second ‘South West More’ event sees Ilario Alicante, Dense & Pika, and a still-mysterious guest shut down the party with a veteran of the scene for over 20 years; the fantastic John Digweed. A passionate collector, Digweed has been a celebrity DJ in Ibiza for decades whilst watching his Bedrock Records imprint grow into one of Britain’s best loved house labels. Italian Illario Aliacante brings jumpy electronic selections to match his interesting production style, and techno heads ought also enjoy the brutalist stylings of Dutch duo Dense & Pika.
Electric Brixton is not far from Clapham Common, which will host both days of the South West Four festival proper. With SW4 tickets already sold out, tickets for the after parties should be bought quickly to avoid disappointment.
