Mainstay of Nottingham's clubbing scene, Detonate, have announced another show to add to their busy schedule this October. Showcasing the the best in Drum & Bass and electronica, the long serving event has done more than establish itself as one of the top nights for high energy beats.
This instalment of Detonate will be in collaboration with non other than Exit Records, one of the most established labels within the electronic music scene, boasting an exiting selection of artists with the likes of Dub Phizix, Kryptic Minds and Scuba on their roster. Taking place at the Brickworks in Nottingham this October 23rd, the warehouse will be home to some of the biggest names Exit Records has to offer.
Topping the bill is Northern Irish Drum & Bass producer and DJ, Calibre. The prolific producer has released over 10 albums throughout his career along with his recent Strumpet EP which was released earlier this year on Exit Records. With such an extensive back catalogue to choose from don't be surprised to hear some never before hidden gems throughout his set.
Alongside Calibre will be Exit Records founder and fellow DJ and producer dBridge. Citing setting up the record label as an outlet for his own musical frustrations, dBridge has been able to release some of the best electronic and Bass heavy tracks by himself and a cohort of established and emerging artists since the record label's inception in 2003. In a career stretching over almost 20 years which has seen the producer try his hand a range of genres including house and techno, dBridge has established himself as one of the most respected beat makers within the UK.
Further support on the night will be provided in the form of special guests Ivy Lab which is made up of producers Sabre, Stray and Halogenix. Also featuring will be DRS alongside SP:MC, Transit Mafia as well as many more names still to be announced.
