Album Of The Week: Booka Shade – Galvany Street

Album Of The Week: Booka Shade – Galvany Street

A fresh start which sees the duo recall their pop roots
Elliot Ryder | Features & Interviews

Life is always better with a soundtrack, and time spent hard at work in the office is no different. Therefore, coming your way every Tuesday will be album of the week; a release we can't contain our excitement for or a record we have been reluctant to take off repeat since its first play. We’ll be putting the time in to explore the world of new releases on a quest to bring you the best. While we’re at it, just because we’re feeling generous, we’ll be digging deep into our collections and giving classic albums the airplay they deserve.

German duo Booka Shade have long been one the leading architects for emotive electronic music. With an ability to shape heady heights and cushioning lows with each calculated stab of their extensive collection of analogue hardware, the pairing has developed a formidable reputation for live performances that can bring a tear to even the most hardened of dancefloor veterans. Their latest musical journey, Galvany Street, is scheduled for release on Friday 7th April, and features the Germans channelling their former pop sensibilities across the album’s 10 effervescent tracks.

You can listen to Galvany Street below via Spotify.

To celebrate the release of Booka Shade’s latest LP, the duo will take the reigns to Printworks London with guest vocalist and collaborator Craig Walker on Friday 7th April.
