Better known by his DJ and producer alias Floating Points, inventive mastermind Sam Shepherd has once again proved his rightful place in the electronic music world with his latest release. Since his debut in 2009, the composer has gone on to create a slew of polished and well produced modern arrangements, featuring ambient tones, classical instruments, jazz style bursts, elements of world music and danceable funky bass grooves, the single consistency within his tracks being the huge crescendo of these unconventional combinations.
Reflections - Mojave Desert is the latest addition to his list of obscure and unique pieces of work and no exception to his usual distinct style, as each of the five tracks offer up something different, a mere tease of what monstrous sounds he can muster up live.

Floating Points will be appearing live on a number of stages this year; you’ll be able to hear his orchestrated arrangements at Farr Festival in the mysterious location of Bygrave Woods, as well as all day London event Sunfall Festival in Brockwell Park. Oversees, Shepherd will be gracing the sunny stage of Croatia’s Dimensions Festival at the end of August.
