Album Of The Week: Haim - Something to Tell You

Album Of The Week: Haim - Something to Tell You

Four years after their full length debut Days Are Gone, indie trio Haim return with an eleven track sequel of their harmony filled indie soft rock. After the release of the band’s debut, and the following years of frequent Fleetwood Mac comparisons, the iconic Stevie Nicks took the Los Angeles sisters under her wing to talk about music, the songwriting process, sisterhood and more; Something to Tell You is the direct result of that. The title single in particular has a touch of Mac-style magic, with a slow, 80s style riff being introduced with solo vocals, eventually building up into a vocal chorus carried over simple, statement drums and funky basslines. No matter how blatant the girls’ influences and inspirations, putting their own style and twist onto their sound is what makes them such an exciting and interesting band.

The three piece band will be heading to both Reading and Leeds this year, taking place across the last bank holiday of the year, between the 24th and 27th August.
