Life is always better with a soundtrack, and time spent hard at work in the office is no different. Therefore, coming your way every Tuesday will be album of the week; a release we can't contain our excitement for or a record we have been reluctant to take off repeat since its first play. We’ll be putting the time in to explore the world of new releases on a quest to bring you the best. While we’re at it, just because we’re feeling generous, we’ll be digging deep into our collections and giving classic albums the airplay they deserve.

Despite only just getting round to releasing his debut album, Process, the vocal talents of London based Sampha Sissay aren’t a well kept secret. Since rising to prominence via a guest appearance SBTRKT’s ‘Hold On’, Sampha has become somewhat of a serial collaborator; his soul enriched delivery alerting producers and artists to form an orderly queue in the hope of having their tracks layered by the textures of his voice.
A virtuoso with both his hands and vocal chords, the multi-instrumentalist’s debut LP promised much, and with so much talent to call upon, it was hard to see Sampha not being able to deliver.
Restless emotions pushed through synthesisers, a heavy heartfelt touch applied to each key of the piano and a vocal range that rightly takes centre stage, even in its most delicate of moments. Process has been well worth the wait.
