There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
We like a mix that’s got a bit of variety to it, and so the Beautiful Swimmers outing for Crack’s 154th Mix has tickled us in all the right places this week. Percussive loops, garage shuffles, swirling house stabs, the odd dash of nu-disco and outbursts of tech naughtiness were all thrown into the bag, shaken up and deployed through the speakers as Max D and Ari Goldman went into party mode in their typically transient fashion, and that makes for some excellent listening. Feast your ears on our latest Mix Of The Week.
Beautiful Swimmers will be appearing at Brockwell Park in London for Sunfall Festival when it takes place on Saturday 12th August. They are part of a ridiculous lineup that names Theo Parrish, Move D, Larry Heard, Floating Points, Helena Hauff and The Black Madonna among other huge stars of techno, house and other strains of underground dance music.
