There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
Since bursting onto the scene in 2010, Belgian DJ and producer Charlotte de Witte has risen over the years to become one of the biggest household names within the techno music scene. With a live repertoire consisting of some of the biggest dance stages and club nights in the world, this young international superstar has shown time and time again with her skills in the studio and behind the decks why she is one of the most in demand DJs in the current techno music scene.
Curating an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 as part of her residency, expect to hear some stripped, powerful techno, combined with some more emotional and melancholic ambient moments. Opening with ‘Early Morning Waves’ by Fabrizio Lapina, there is many tracks in this mix that promises to get you moving on the dancefloor, including the likes of ‘Rotational Inertia’ by Kaiser and Omis’ ‘Madness’ to an TWCOR remix of ‘Stripes Of Sodeon’ originally by Dave Simon and the rather special ‘Singing Entity’ by Intercept.
Catch Charlotte de Witte along with James Ruskin for a late-night party at Motion, Bristol on Friday 15th March, as well as EXIT Festival from Thursday 4th - Sunday 7th July, Hideout Festival from Monday 1st - Saturday 6th July, and Lovebox Festival from Friday 12th - Saturday 13th July.
