There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Returning as a weekly feature after a little while away, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
We’ve always got time for a bit of garage, and who better to provide it than the absolute don DJ EZ? Revisiting a prime example of the Tottenham DJ at his chop and changing best, we’ve had this set from the Mixmag London Lab on our minds again this week, with tracks from Todd Edwards, Breach, Lil Silva, DJ Zinc and more 2-stepping into our ear drums at EZ’s signature quickfire pace. Shooting from the hip with blazers from the golden years of UKG, EZ dished out one of the most fire sets you’re likely to encounter when he unleashed this back in 2013, and so with garage on the mind we thought we’d resurrect it once more this week.
No less entertaining three years on, the perfect party DJ will be playing out a fair bit before 2016 comes to an end, with shows in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Leeds. First heading to The Rainbow Venues to celebrate 25 Years of DJ Mag on Saturday 19th November, he’ll be bringing the heat with plenty to spare this winter.
