There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
The Swedish craft is certainly something the wider world appreciates; when it comes to design, IKEA firmly hold that crown, in the food world, meatballs are difficult to beat and when it comes to house music - DJ Seinfeld may have just displayed that Swede’s do it best in his most recent mix for Boiler Room in Berlin. Starting off strong with Ramos’ ‘Ploy’ and yet it still, somehow, consistently gets better from there featuring Robert Armani’s ‘Up’, Bruce’s ‘What’ and more. Selecting some of the best 808 beats in house and prog house, as well as blending in some squelchy acid sounds and nostalgic 90s style tracks in the total hour takeover of the decks, each cut succeeding in one main goal - to make listeners move. Don’t believe take a listen for yourself - or witness all those bodies moving and shapes being thrown yourself via YouTube below.
DJ Seinfeld helps The Warehouse Project in their very last party at their famed venue of Store Street in Manchester on New Year’s Day 2019. Tuesday 1st January hosts the Swedish house expert alongside The Black Madonna, Hunee b2b Daphni, Palms Trax, Gilles Peterson, Artwork presents Grain and more.
