There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
This week we’re looking ahead for Mix Of The Week; with Berlin Berlin returning to Egg London at the weekend, we’ve been reacquainting ourselves with the talented Fidelity Kastrow, who last week uploaded a cut of her set for Egg last May. Driving through dramatic techno landscapes, Fidelity travelled some way in the hour long section of the mix, demonstrating flawless transitions and exquisite selections as she incorporated periods of ambient calm as well as blistering percussion. Descending deeper into murkier waters, the mix also saw Kastrow unleash some chaos with tracks of a more alarming nature. The mix will no doubt be a goldmine for techno heads looking to be taken on a journey through different moods and timbres.
Fidelity Kastrow lines up alongside Jonty Skruff, Yetti Meissner and Daniel Miller when Sisyphos showcase their talent at Egg on Saturday 15th July. Also featuring DJs from Steyoyoke, Rumpelkammer and more, the night will bring those Berlin vibes to the UK for a night of unadulterated hedonism.
