There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
German Dj and producer Helena Hauff has once again taken our Mix Of the Week slot, and deservedly so, as her mix for Crack Magazine is an impressive display of the reasons this artist has been an unstoppable force over the last twelve months. Offering her staple of stripped back, raw and sometimes minimalistic approach to techno, Hauff layers juxtaposing beats, combining opposing sounds for an acid tinted hour of pulsating sounds in her own league, reaching ultimate crescendos before starting the journey all over again.
Helena Hauff has a busy schedule ahead, as she’ll be hitting London’s Field Day which takes place between Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd June, before giving her sound to Leeds’ debuting Inner City Electronic, which sees city venues host some huge names in electronic music over the weekend of Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June. EXIT Festival’s No Sleep Novi Sad stage will host Helena Hauff at this year’s edition, taking place at Serbia’s Petrovaradin Fortress between Thursday 12th and Sunday 15th July. Croatia’s Dimensions Festival will also be treating to Hauff’s raw techno sound at Fort Punta Christo from Wednesday 29th August and Sunday 2nd September.
