There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
Nobody knows the art of partying like Glaswegian firework Jackmaster, so how fitting that his 2017 Mastermix has come steamrolling into existence just as we get ready for the biggest night of the year. New Year’s Eve is fast approaching, but hurtling in to beat it to the line, the explosive Mastermix once again illustrates a picture of party perfection. Disco, ghetto house, techno, acid and anything else that the Numbers boss fancies gets thrown together in this two hour portrayal of dancefloor naughtiness, and it’s a good thing too, as Jackmaster’s got a reputation to maintain. No problem there: this one bangs.
As soon as the slamming piano stabs of Professor Funk and The Chicago Hous'n Authority’s “Visions” kick in you know this one’s going to get tasty, and by the time the disco euphoria kicks in you’re left in no doubt that this Mastermix stays on for the duration. Free up two hours, there’s no getting out once you’re in.
Jackmaster takes his Mastermix to Manchester next week, with a spell at The Warehouse Project on Saturday 16th December, ft. Peggy Gou, Hunee, Floorplan and more. Bristol then gets a dose in the new year, with a strong Scottish contingent heading to Motion on Saturday 27th January.
