There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
Some DJs play music from the heart, and that’s something that Josey Rebelle never fails to impress upon her audience. Spreading herself across techno, house and garage as well as the soulful analogue dance genres from bygone eras, the London native matches eclectic tastes with the technical skill to bring them together seamlessly. Epitomising her style, this latest choice for our Mix Of The Week series makes for an enchanting three hours, with Rebelle offering an expertly curated journey through her musical mind.
Josey Rebelle heads to Dimensions Festival in Croatia at the end of August, with the festival running from Thursday 31st August to Sunday 3rd September at Fort Punta Christo on the Adriatic Coast. She will also be sticking around in Croatia for Outlook Festival, which starts the following Thursday.
For Manchester based fans of the Londoner’s sound, Rebelle can also be caught at Store Street on Saturday 30th September, with Floating Points and The Warehouse Project linking up to host a lineup that also includes Daphni, Jon Hopkins, Sassy J and Madlib among others.
