There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
With the recent news from the Warehouse Project of their unveiled lineup as part of the upcoming WHP18 season, we thought it was only fitting to highlight this week’s mix of the week with a throwback session as we take you on a musical journey back in time to 2016 for a Boiler Room DJ set in Paris from Australian superstar Mall Grab. Hyping up on some groovy house vibes from the get-go, this eclectic set fills the room with excitement and positive energy that has the crowd moving to the rhythm of this impressive tracklist of club bangers. Opening with the classic house Silky 70’s mix of ‘Baby Love’ by Dannii Minogue, this rollercoaster ride of dance party anthems curated by Mall Grab on the night takes listeners on a trip of different house sub-genres, consisting of faster beats from the likes of ‘Dance Freak Anthem’ by Pelvis to songs with more of a vocal hook such as Flakes’ ‘Sugar Frosted Lover’ and even ‘Sensual Seduction’ by hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg.
Mall Grab has confirmed two Warehouse Project appearances later this year at Manchester’s iconic Store Street Warehouse, including Welcome to the Warehouse on Saturday 22nd September and Annie Mac Presents on Friday 12th October. In addition, you can also expect to see the international DJ at Invisible Wind Factory in Liverpool on Friday 12th October.
