There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
With a reputation like Midland’s, whose sound can range from unassuming levels of subtlety sneaked layers all the way to chaotic crescendos of contrasting genres, a new mix signals a complete guessing game as it is what it is this time - luckily for us listeners, it’s always of a high standard. No exception to this is Midland’s AVA Festival mix for Boiler Room, which highlights his versatility not only as a producer but as a live selector, ranging from the best in staple house sounds and hitting every variation possible, with features from disco tinted tracks and acid laced squelchy elements. Listen via Soundcloud below and see why it’s made our Mix Of The Week...
Midland will be part of The Warehouse Project’s impressive Welcome To The Warehouse opening weekend on Saturday 22nd September, alongside the likes of Seth Troxler, Dixon, Peggy Gou, Mall Grab and going b2b with Roman Flugel.
