There’s always something coming out the speakers in the Ticket Arena office, so we thought we’d share some of the sonic splendours that soundtrack all of our hard work. Now a weekly feature that brings a different artist to the fore each Thursday, the TA Mix Of The Week scours the vaults for some of our favourite sets of old and keeps a beady eye out for the classics of the future, serving up a taste of the artists that make us happy to do what we do.
This time round we’ve settled on two of underground dance music’s less obscure artists for the TA Mix Of The Week, as a recording of Skream b2b Lee Foss at a Miami hotel last week had us intrigued. Sprinting through techy shuffles and crowd-pleasing vocals, the pair make their way through trance-like build ups and workout percussion with little pause for breath, demonstrating why both are such popular party DJs.
If you’re in the mood for an evening with Skream, you’ll find him all over the place in the next few months as he drifts between the UK and various spots in Europe for festival season. Taking to Leeds as special guest to Jasper James and Tom Trago, he’ll be at MiNT Warehouse on Saturday 1st April, before heading to Malta for Lost & Found in the middle of the month. Saturday 22nd April will see him at Manchester’s Albert Hall, and he’ll also be returning to the city for Parklife in June, a few weeks before he jets off for Hideout Festival in Croatia.
