While Britain retains its gloomy reputation for being dank, dark and grey, we’re surviving the colder months by dreaming of warmer climates and making memories at some truly incredible overseas festivals, and there’s plenty to pick from, with the combination of sun, sea, sand and stellar soundtracks proving more popular than ever  - you can spend your summer at both a festival and a holiday. Whether you’re thinking about some electronic beats on a beautiful beach, a poolside party while being kissed by the sun or perhaps an entirely unique experience that allows for truly unforgettable memories, there’s plenty on offer. Beat Hotel Marrakech

With the undisputed success of Glastonbury’s Beat Hotel party stage since it’s 2011 inception, the brand are taking their unrivalled vibes to Morocco as Beat Hotel take over actual hotel Fellah for a four day residency of music, dancing and more, all in the scorching sun of North Africa. Their first ever chapter in this new venture will see the likes of Young Fathers, Maribou state, Andrew Weatherall, Hunee, Gille Peterson and more deliver their sounds. On top of this, talks and workshops offer industry insight and a more intimate glance at the acts and their careers.

Lost & Found Festival

If anybody has the industry know-how to pull off a huge festival, it’s the Radio One presenter and expert DJ Annie Mac as her Lost & Found Festival in St Paul’s Bay of Malta continues to host some of the best and biggest names in electronic music. Taking on various locations across the beautiful island, including one of the district’s biggest night clubs, a huge castle, several boats parties and a lovely beach club, this year’s edition invites the likes of The Black Madonna, Camelphat, Artwork B2B Horse Meat Disco, Richy Ahmed, Skream, Peggy Gou and so many more top acts.



Meadows In The Mountains

Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Swap out the sandy shores for a completely unique location of rocky mountains and stunning scenery as Meadows in the Mountains delivers just that in the Bulgarian district of Plovdiv. Now entering it’s eighth edition, this festival delivers not only a versatile lineup across four stages surrounded by the untouched beauty of nature, but also the addition of workshops, yoga sessions and more. 


Hideout Festival Croatia

Zrce Beach, Croatia

Situated on the idyllic island of Pag, Croatia’s Hideout Festival continues to bring big names to clubs dotted around the Zrce Beach resort, offering multiple stages and multiple sounds, from DnB all the way to house and techno. 2019’s edition of the festival brings in the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Alan Fitzpatrick, Flava D, CruCast, MK, My Nu Leng, Rudimental and more.

EXIT Festival

Novi Sad, Serbia

Serbia’s EXIT Festival has not only won awards, but it’s also worth mentioning that this long weekend of music is also considered as one of the most versatile of Europe, with it’s lineup, year after year, being inclusive of both the best in live acts as well as the best DJs and electronic acts, and as well as internationally renowned artists, there’s the showcase of the best in local talent, EXIT delivers it all. This year, headliners The Cure are joined by the likes of The Selector, Like Mike & Dimitri Vegas, Sofi Tukker, Greta Van Fleet and more, while their dedicated Dance Arena hosts Carl Cox, Amelie Lens, Jeff Mills, Maceo Plex, Peggy Gopu and more.

Festival Pal Mundo Outdoor

After an entire decade of calling Fort Punta Christo it’s home, Dimensions Festival have revealed that they’ll be moving on to a brand new location and so there’s never been a better time to witness the stunning setting in all its glory. A stage on the beach, an ancient amphitheatre and so much more, all topped off with an incredible lineup inclusive of Jeff Mills, Objekt, Nina Kraviz, Mr Scruff, Joy Orbison, Helena Hauff and more. If that doesn’t take your fancy, it’s sister festival Outlook Festival takes place the following weekend on Wed 4th - Sun 8th Sep and also resides in that beautiful location for the last ever time, hosting Andy C, Loyle Carner, Goldie, Chase & Status, Bugzy Malone, Holy Good, Shy FX, Gentleman’s Dub Club and more.
