Hospital Records have decided to become the latest people to host a party in the increasingly popular Eastern European country of Croatia. Seen as one of the most in-demand places on the continent for hedonistic party-goers, with numerous golden white beaches providing spectacular views out onto the serene waters of the Dalmatian coast, it is easy to see why Hospital chose this paradise. The precise location, Tisno’s Garden Resort, has a long history of welcoming ravers from far and wide, with numerous other events such as Soundwave and Defected Croatia also being staged here. If the prospect of sizzling temperatures and pure relaxation wasn’t enough there is the small matter of a gargantuan drum n bass line-up thrown in for good measure.
Set to play twice in Croatia, there are two opportunities to see a hugely respected figure showcase his soulful sound, which can be traced back to the very early days of Hospital Records. Alongside his main stage appearance the Cambridge artist is also set to play a ‘Lost Dubplates’ set over at the Jungle Jam v Shak Out area. If you are interested in a masterful tour of the jungle sound, with previously unheard musical jewels being the main agenda, then don’t forget to catch this mysterious performance.
Calibre b2b dBridge
When you have had such an eternal influence on dnb for several decades like Calibre and dBridge it is easy to see why people clamour uncontrollably to see them at work wherever they play. Both artists have spent the last 20 years honing a distinct and sumptuous sound, most in tune with the peaceful tones of liquid. With a unique opportunity to see them pool their creative talents the end result is one you simply can’t afford to miss.
Widely regarded as one of the box office names in all of dnb, Andy C has built such a standing within bass music that he has transcended the genre, playing at all kinds of festivals from Ultra Miami to Bestival. Landing the Ram Records head honcho for the festival’s inaugural edition is a real coup with the Londoner guaranteed to provide the most scintillating main stage finale. If that wasn’t a good enough reason in itself he is also set to showcase his turntable wizardry for three whole hours.
One half of a supreme dnb duo, Fabio has been crafting some of the edgiest beats in the whole of the scene since day one. Ever since jungle and dnb emerged from house and UK hardcore Fabio has consistently pushed the boundaries with his productions whilst also earning a reputation as one of the finest DJs within bass music. If you are keen to see one of the founding fathers provide a spectacular showcase of dnb then be sure to catch Fabio.
Inja’s fully fuelled flex featuring Pete Cannon
A popular mic man for many of Hospital’s premier acts such as Metrik, Dimension and Danny Byrd, the South London imprint recently decided to make history by announcing Inja as their first mc signing. The Englishman always takes centre stage with a fantastic smile which naturally gives his work such a warming sensation. Now he is a fully-fledged member of the Hospital family expect his usually supercharged show, characterized by mesmeric rhyming talents, to reach for the stratosphere.
Hospitality On The Beach takes place at The Garden in Tisno, Croatia, between Thursday 12th and Monday 16th July, and Hospitality will be in good practice after overseeing Shockout Festival in Shepton Mallet on Saturday 24th February.
