The previous throw down took place last month at Beaverworks and welcomed rap collective Section Boyz as well as P Money, who turned out as a special guest to play alongside other guests like The Heatwave and Devilman, no to mention a rally of local favourites. This month we see guests of just an impressive calibre coming together with more up and coming DJs from around Leeds. The headliner for this one, Chipmunk.
As one of todays most promising young grime stars and the winner of 2 MOBO awards, Chip has been collaborating with many others across the hip-hop spectrum to create some proper skanky riddims. Wiley, Kano, D Double E, and Stormzy are just some of the names Chip has laid down tracks with over the past year, with his Cash Motto Recording label also putting out some serious beats.
Chip will be joined by President T, the London grime staple whose album Greatest To Ever Touch Down landed at the end and proved a hit with the countrywide grime enthusiasts. Also the label owner at Star Work Music, Gassed have ensure there will be plenty of tunes on tap, all night long.
To guarantee it even more, they have brought back some of the favourite local names from the last party and mixed them with some fresh faces. This time around support comes in from Jamie Hartley, Manny Brown, Callum Walton, Dialect and No Curfew, who will be hosting room 2.
