English singer songwriter Gaz Coombes is most well known for his involvement with the 90s alternative rock band Supergrass, however since 2010 he has been striving to further his career as a solo artist.
Oxford born rockers Supergrass first formed in 1993 and had a string of hits that could be heard amongst a barrage of number one and platinum selling albums, with record sales amounting to well over 2 million. Having won a number of awards that include an Ivor Novello Award, a BRIT Award an a number of others with Coombes as the frontman, he is a hugely respected name in the British music scene.
Since he announced he would be embarking on a solo front, Coombes has released 2 studio albums, the most recent of which hit the shelves in at the beginning of the year in January. His 2015 LP 'Matador' received critical acclaim and pipped the number 18 position on the official UK Album Chart. Gaz Coombes has a also released a string of singles, the first of which was a free download before the singles 'Hot Fruit', 'This Time Tomorrow' and most recently '20/20', a single taken from the 'Matador' album.
This year Gaz Coombes will be making his way around Britain on his tour of the LP 'Matador' stopping off at The Forum, London on 9th October.
