When the joining of one of London’s most outrageous party collectives and one of Shoreditch’s most exciting club venues first occurred last year for the XOYO Loves series, a hoard of people got behind the party that will be teaming up once again to put on a series of events at the West London party spot XOYO.
Sink The Pink, a group of party enthusiasts with a love for kitsch, camp and festival-inspired hedonism, have been throwing parties since 2008 and have been putting on their events with the aim of bringing unique events to great parts of the capital that are being swamped by a large concentration of clichéd and under thought parties, which are not lending any choice to those who find the current selection too dark, expensive or rough.
Put these guys in one of Shoreditch’s coolest clubs, XOYO, and you have their new collaborative project, Gloria’s. On the 3rd of May, 12th of June, 10th of July and the 14th of August, the two seasoned party experts will be bringing a selection of imaginative and exciting house and disco DJs to play over both of the clubs rooms. The series will begin with Klangkarussell and Kim Ann Foxman in the main room, both of which have had serious exposure in the dance music scene over the past two years. Klangkarrussel’s ‘Sonnetanz’, which was given a chart topping vocal remake will be a track not many are strangers to, whilst Kim Ann Foxman is a female DJ known for her flagrant and vitalic DJ sets, which have caught the attention of Maya Jane Coles and Anthony Simoncino.
The month after, Tensnake will take the reins before a rally of disco heavyweights in Dimitri From Paris (pictured above), Aeroplane and Alex Metric go back to back in July. August will the see the final of the four, which will welcome The 2 Bears, and Krystal Klear. Throughout the series Room 2 will also welcome the likes of Homoelectric, Dish and Room Service, whilst residents Joshua James and Jonjo Jury will provide the warm ups.
