Groove2 is the brand new party outfit put together by the same team behind the Garmhaus which, along with it’s big brother club brand, both hosted their first events in Leeds over the past couple of months. After the warm reception at their first party, Groove2 returns on Saturday 7th May at Freedom Mills.
The first party the Groove2 team put together was originally intended to be at Freedom Mills, however due to some teething issues at the venue, the party was moved to Studio 24. Now the club come art exhibition space is fully up and running, with lots of exciting things coming, so who better to play at the second of Groove2’s get togethers that one of the venues founding protagonists, Graham Dixon.
Known for being a resident of the Leeds based club night Shine, Graham Dixon is one half of the pair that is the brains behind the venue that is Freedom Mills, but is also a seasoned selector through many raves during the 80’s and 90’s. Expect a journey through house history as he carries a solid acid house sound, which will no doubt cause an eruption at his new venue. Joining him will be Soulvine and also Paul Kaminski, who is known the city over for being one of the key residents of mono_Cult, which hosted its last every party in Leeds at the end of last year.
Supporting the guests will be a selection of Groove2 residents and friends, with Ryan Murray and Amiros Parsa opening things up back to back before Jordon Day and Jack Bettinson team up to close the party.
