One of the most firmly rooted events that the city has to offer, LOOP has run weekly for over two hundred events, bringing a good number of international bookings to the North East underneath the house, techno and bass banner. Even more experienced in the same field, Leeds’ Hard Times started in 1993, and has ventured through a riot of venues in Leeds and Ibiza before returning to Yorkshire to join the Mint Club family. Teaming up with LOOP for this end of summer blowout, the Hard Times crew will be more than happy to see Back Coffee and Miguel Campbell form the fruits of their labour.
Indispensable figurehead of the South African house scene, Black Coffee has made an art out of stringing together soulful vocals and feet-commanding beats, rising to become a huge name in global nights and festivals as his signature vibesy style has become synonymous with a good party. He’ll make a worthy companion to Outcross Records’ commandant Miguel Campbell, also a releasee on Hot Creations. A producer and DJ since the house resurgence of the 90s, Campbell has no doubt been influential on a micro and macro scale, letting his presence be known at the Outcross base in Leeds as well as at venues up and down the UK.
Digital is known by Newcastle residents as one of the city’s go-to clubs, and this second instalment of the club’s synergy with Hard Times and LOOP is sure to be a memorable tale. Make sure you’re there on Friday 26th of August.
