In the world of drum & bass, few record labels match the calibre of London Elektricity’s Hospital Records, the imprint founded by Tony Colman in 1996. Over the years the label has fronted releases from the likes of S.P.Y, Nu:Tone, Cyantific, Danny Byrd and many more, with the label keeping a keen eye on rising talent as well as their strong roster of DJs who have played for the label since its inception.
The Hospitality parties that have taken place all over the UK, with regular stops in Leeds, London and their home in Birmingham, showcase the lengthy line of talent the label has unearthed over the years, with this show at The Rainbow Venues on October 10th doing just that.
Taking place inside The Rainbow Warehouse, there will be 7 DJs treating your ears to upfront D&B all night long, with the headline act being kept under wraps until closer to the show. Joining this mystery guest will High Contrast, who has been a staple Hospital Records DJ since his debut release on the label, Passion. Logistics, another hardy Hospital heavy who has been part of the label exclusively since 2004 will add further old school excitement before a rally of new school favourites including Etherwood, Krakota, Keeno and Urbandawn bring up the rear. MC’s Dynamite, Inja and 2shy will be keeping the crowd on their toes also as this cream of the hospital crop plays in the labels spiritual home.
The Rainbow Terrace will also be open for when you need a breath of fresh air, however their will be no rest for the wicked as the sounds will continue outside courtesy of Dirtbox, Drytek, Glaive, Glokey, Manipulate, Substate and The Skeptics. Finishing off the business here will be MC’s Busta and Datkyid.
